In this course, learners will be introduces to the concepts of measurement, which are based in arithmetic and systems of measurement in SAE and Metric measures. They will discover that the practice of consistent and accurate measurement is a combination of technique and innovation on the part of the technician doing the measurement. Learners will review the guiding principles of measurement and will review case studies of measurement fails. Use of rulers and scales, calipers and outside micrometers are demonstrated.
